    New style fork seals?

    Hey all,

I found these on eBay. They seem legit. Anyone have experience with these seals?

      Interchangability of seals

Hi. Any idea if these can be used on a 78 XS1100E? I have a leaking left fork seal (in addition to everything else) and if I am replacing one, I may as well replace two! I did message the seller to see if they knew if they would fit.

How can folks find out what is interchangable and what is not between the bikes?

          Here's a set listed for the XS11:

The inside diameter of the seals are correct, in this auction, not sure about the rest.

            Specials are different

            Hi GNEPIG,
those seal dimensions (37 x 49 x 8) are good for any year XS1100 STANDARD.
The fork seal for any year XS11 SPECIAL is
sized 37 x 48 x 11. Damnfools at the local Yamastore got the Progressive fork springs right (they could hardly have screwed that one up as the springs are the same for XS11 Standards, Specials and a raft of other bikes too, just cut the spacer tube to the proper length) but they brought in the seals & brake pads for a Standard. Cost me 10 days no bike while I waited for the right parts, that did.
