  • Front Calipers Stuck

Hey guys. I have some pretty severe pulsing in the front wheel when applying the brakes. I can see on the left disc that the brakes are rubbing in one spot (warped?). Sooooo......I tried to take the calipers off and can't get them to budge. Other than the nut on top of the caliper, is there any other fastening device that I am missing? I tried a rubber mallet to dislodge it, but no dice.

What is your bike...stanard or special

    on a 'special',
the 'nut' on top of the caliper...is a Jam Nut,
on the bottom of the caliper you will find the hear of the BOLT,
it's kinda recessed, but its there...

now I'm not sure on a Standard...
the forks are different and IIRC the brakes are different,

at least the way the are held in place is

    Good Luck

If its a special the nut on the top is just a lock. There is a cap on the underside of the special calipers that covers the bolt end.
