    Final Drive Ratio

Does anyone out there know how to get a higher final drive ratio?
I'd like to raise my ratio on 80 Special, about 10%. I didn't know if anyone else has ever done this and what final drive they used.
    Thanks,

Put a standard 17 inch wheel on it

I don't want a 17" tire. I just put 11" shocks on to lower the rear. I'd like to raise the final ratio so as to lower my RPM's at highway speeds. Maybe even add a little top speed. I was just wondering if anyone knew a good way to do this.
      Thanks,

Sorry there is no way to do it, other than chain drive conversion, that i am aware of. The V max and Venture rear gears are interchangable, you may want to find out if they have a different ratio.

Well chain drive is not the answer, I wouldn't give up my driveshaft for anything. I was hoping that the final drive from an XS750 or 850 might fit and be a taller gear ratio. I don't have any idea if any of the V-MAX, VENTURE, MAXIM, or other "NEWER" drives would fit, with or without changing swingarms. Like I said just wondering. Must have too much time on my hands.

          Thanks
