  • Update # 3

Today i removed the carbs and took apart#1 and #4 float bowl because i was unsuccessful in the past to remove the float pin.Removed the float pin after awhile (without breaking the posts)and removed the needle valve and seats.I cleaned out the screen and surrounding area and reinstalled everything.Put the tank back on, and connected the fuel lines. It started on the 3rd try and it warmed up quickly.I did not have to give it more throttle to help it warm up.I then noticed # 3 carb leaking but it leaks by the hose so I'm thinking i got a small slit in the line causing it to leak.As soon as i shut off the petcock it stops leaking. Also i have to get another vacuum cap as mine flew off somewhere undetermined.

I went to the auto parts store today and got 2 vacuum caps and zip tied them to the fittings.I found out that one of my hoses that was brand new had a small split in it.I cut the hose shorter and no leaks!I took it for a test ride and will take it to work tomorrow.

      float pins

I ended up using my nail set tap the pins out. It was the only way I could think of to get the little buggers out of there without damaging them.
Congrats on taking it to work tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing from here on out!
Good Luck and enjoy the ride.

Thank You-The one float pin was too short to use after i got it out ,so i used a nail that i found in my Fathers cabinets.Fits just right,i had to cut it down so it fits between the sides of the float bowl.Bike is ready to go tomorrow.
