  • popping vacuum caps

What causes vacuum caps to pop off?I cleaned my carbs again and installed them back on and started the bike.It warmed up easier and faster than before and i heard a noise and saw a vacuum cap come off rather forcefully after i gave it throttle. What causes this? Also where can i get replacement caps that fit more snug?

I have spring steel bands on mine to hold them down petty sure it's factory. auto parts store should have a pretty good selection of caps.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

      caps

Engine backfire will cause the caps to blow off. This shouldn't happen once the carbs are properly adjusted.
