  • itsy bitsy ball bearing

Well, I took apart a set of 79 carbs that have been neglected to say the least. Anyway, the little ball bearing on the choke rod went sproing. Where it went is anyones guess, somewhere in my garage but for the life of me I can't find it. Any thoughts on what would be a suitable replacement? At least I managed to find the spring.

Arent there two ball and springs, two carbs have the detents. So you should still have one to take to the local bearing house.Another posibility is ,I dont know about you but I have rebuilt a lot of carbs off of cars.I usually save the extra parts out of them and a lot of times they have little check balls in some of them.So if you hapen to have a old kit around or know a buddy who works on cars you might get lucky. Those things are tiny.Easy to lose. You know it might work with just one.Maybe not enough holding power .
