Sometimes the bike runs halfway decent but I get down the road a quarter mile and the ignition seems to start breaking up. I tried the ignition box fix with the sodering which I'm not sure what I was really doing on that deal, and I checked the wires on the leftside of engine where the vacuum advance is and they seem to be all right as well. I removed all the spark plugs from eng. and plugged them into the wires and ran starter and I'm not getting spark all the time it is intermitting and sometimes it will turn over many times without any spark. I'm very fustrated with the bike and would like to fine someone in the Saginaw Michigan area to fix this problem. If anyone knows someone who could fix this problem please let me know. Motodangt@charter.net or call 989-642-6083 ask for Dan, Thanks and Good Day.

Hey Dan,
I've seen that you've gotten a few replies from folks in your area in your Member's Lounge thread!!
Do you have a multimeter handy?? Put it on the battery, set for volts, and check it while cranking. IF it drops to 10.5 or less, then that may be part of your problem, the TCI needs 10.5+ volts to properly fire. Secondly, once you get it running, may need to use a car battery to jump it, again, check voltage at idle, and again at 2500 rpm, should be 14.5 volts at 2500 rpm. IF only 12 or less, then it's not charging properly, again can contribute to poor performance.
Lots of things that can be checked out to determine no spark, hopefully the Xsive that is close by can help you figure it out!
Good Luck.
