  • Possible tranny issues

First off I am waiting for 3 mixture screws, but the bike will idle. I just bought it and haven't had the chance to put it to a test.

I put the bike into first while on the stand and it started jumping. The rear wheel was turning, but I could hear noise in the gear box, I think. I am able to shift through all gears with no problem, but the bike still jerks.

Could this be due to it running to rich and the issue being it back firing causing it to jump?

I have read of many problems with gear problems, but am not sure this is the problem.

Probably nothing wrong with your drivetrain. If you are idling roughly on the center stand then you will hear all kinds of noises because of the slack in the trans, middle drive and final drive. Put just the slightest drag on the rear wheel with the brake and it will probably go away.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
