    That's nothing!!

We had one fly in for the Meeting of the Minds in Texas, help out around the place, buy us beer, AND show us cool motorcycle tricks and didn't charge a thing!

My mistake, I said 2-3 days, jackhammer said 2 days in his pm to me. I am wrong.

Thats the only thing I am wrong about. His prices were "firm" He was nothing like the "nice guy" that posted here in this thread.
After I blasted him(unnamed) in a thread, now I get this "gift horse" that I am staring in the mouth.
If I hadn't posted this thread he would have not made that offer. Simple as that. Its not from the goodness of his heart, but an attempt to discredit me, and save face for him self.( should any one figure out who I am speaking of)

If the offer had come as a response to my PM offering to do all the prep, then it would, indeed, be a sweet deal.
But now its just plain scary.

This thread was not an attempt to get a better deal on the work by no means.
This thread was for "ME" to get "other" opinions about what I had been told.
Others have already told me removing the motor was common for a cycle shop.
Also my add he answered says this:
Just wondering if there is any one in the Charlotte or surrounding area that loves to work on the SX and considers him self a sound bike mechanic."

Didn't say I want a professional mechanic shop. Just a sound bike mechanic.

I guess he succeeded in showing every one he is really a Nice guy and I am an a$$ hole.

Not taking sides here...there's always 2 sides to every story.

Dave, I wouldn't presume to judge you. I only see what's posted.

I THINK YOU SHOULD PRINT OUT WHAT WAS SUGGESTED TO BEGIN WITH AND SAVE THE CASH. I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE, IT WOULD BE 100% BETTER IF YOU DO IT YOURSELF. THERE ARE ENOUGH EXPERIENCED PEOPLE ON THIS WEB SITE THAT CAN HELP YOU AND WILL NOT MIND IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
