New magazine

Motorcyclist is putting out a new magazine called Motorcyclist Retro, about old bikes and there is a small article about the new Yamaha carb cleaner part# ACC-CARB-LE-QT. I guess they reformulated their old cleaner and according to the author it is the best there is, you mix it with water and heat it on a hotplate, and you can dip the whole carb with out damaging any thing. It might be worth a look.

I put my carb in water on a hotplate (Pot of water) and boiled it on the kitchen stove when I was 11. When my parents got home and asked what I was doing, I simply smiled and said, "Boiling the carb, Dad!!!"

Didn't work very well.

That sounds cool. It would be a great compliment to the ultrasonic cleaning process which I usually do with just hot water/simple green.
