  • Thanks

Just wanted to extend my sincere thanks for all the people who have posted on all the various topics and all the wonderful information that is floating around on this site. I was having a slight issue with my 79, it would be idling fine and then all of a sudden try to die, give it a well timed blip of the throttle and all is good. after having read most of the posts on the site over the last three years, I decided to take a look under the timing cover. what do you know, a broken pick up coil wire, fixed it, bike idles much smoother now, runs better also. now if I can get around to getting my idle mixture set correctly and get my carbs synched I'll be doing just fine. anyway, thanks to all who have generated such a wealth of knowledge. have a nice day and ride safe

I would have to say that I won the prize, because I found this particular issue while it was just a minor inconvenience and still very intermittent. make me happy, first because I found it, second, I now know the symptom, if it ever does anything remotely similar, I will look there first. have a nice day and ride safe
