    Hey BNE,

A search for Radials should reveal a few posts by Pggg, I believe he said he had run them on an XS11, but he was a bit of a maverick...you know those Aussie/Zlanders!

However, the XS11 rims were designed for Bias ply, along with the whole bike, suspension, steering, etc.! There are some newer designs ie. the Dunlop Elite III which is very close to radial, but still in Bias Ply for older bikes!

A search for Bias ply and Radials should reveal other threads, it's been discussed before!

      Hi Guys,

As far as I remember, PGGG has radials, but he also had wider. more modern rims on the bike, front and rear. He also had a chain conversion?

I have not seen radials narrow enough for our original wheels.

I have a radial on the rear of my SG (4.00x17 rim) but the bike is currently mothballed while I change career, so I can't comment on how it handles. Looks good!

If it ain't broke, modify it!

        Radials

the front 120 radial on my chop handles like a dream, the rear 190 I have on now obviously handles better due to it's width, but I notice a whizzing/whirling sound at 60mph and above that wasn't there with the stock tires (maybe more meat on the ground?)....Overall I really like how they ride...chop
