    windshield

I tried to buy a windshield for my fairing. They told me it was a pacifico and not a vetter. I took it off a 1979 xs1100 and all the bags, truck, and fairing are fiberglass. Can anyone tell me what it is and if there is somewhere to get a windshield?

That's an original Venturer fairing made by Pasifico, there used to be a guy in Milton/Freewater Or. who made windshields for them and Vetter fairings and sold a lot of fairing parts for them and the Vetter fairings, I don't know if he is still in business, his company was called Swainne, maybe someone from that area can find out for you, check the members list and see if you can find a good samaritan. If that fails watch ebay and if one comes up and it is a good price ' buy it now" if you can, don't try to out bid someone they are hard to find.

I'd try mawonline.com (Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse) first. Might take some searching and perhaps a phone call but their prices are reasonable. Another source that's more expensive is http://www.bikescreen.com/.

http://distributionbizwiz.wordpress....ar-windscreen/ shows a technique for a sidecar windshield that you could possible use to make your own. I've found a rotozip works great for cutting plastics.

        Luck,

        Rob

No, that one is for a different model of Pasifico fairing, it's a larger fairing and I wouldn't guarantee it could be re-cut.
