If you have boots that are cracked, 10 coats of spray-on plastidip does wonders. I checked partsnmore, but they don't have them for the XJ. They've got them for the XS for $90 a set, but I don't know if they'll work on an XJ.

Any of the carb holders that will work for the XS will work for the XJ.

rootnp - If you got 'em from Mikes XS, then you got a set for the XS 650. We're talkin' boots for the XS11 from partsnmore. They're different.

            rootnp,

I think what was meant is they will fit the BS34 carbs, but they also need to fit the proper motor, in your case they fit a 650's not the 1100's.

The ones from MikesXS will only fit an XS 650's.

The ones from Parts N More will fit XS/XJ 1100's.

I have a set from PNM that fit great.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was replying about dbeardslee statement about the XS boots and the XJ. I just assumed that we all knew I was talking about the 1100's.

You could put the 650 boots on Ebay and get most if not all your money back. Not everyone knows, or will take the time to shop around the internet to find them and just go straight to Ebay.

                    XS1100 Carb flanges

                    Hello all
I came across this supplier when looking for a set of carb flanges.
                    Anyone with suggestions?
I will get 1, if it fits, then get 3 more

                    Best

Biggorilla - If they're like the ones in the picture, my guess is they aren't going to work. The ones for the xs/xj have a bend in them. Without that bend your carb rack isn't going to line up correctly.

That would make for an interesting time with the old synch gauges

                            Cheap Carb Boots$$

                            Thanks everyone.

I just got "baby", My work is 200 miles from the bike, I commute on weekends and try to get parts during the week, I can't look at whats what until the weekend.

Can anyone recommend a supplier?, some folks want $150 a set, some $100, I think 1 guy is $80, are there quality differences, or just the same part with different prices?

                            Once again, sincere thanks!

Biggorilla - Partsnmore's got 'em for $90. Don't know that there's a lot of difference between them and what others sell, other than the price. I know I bought an Athena gasket set for $78 from partsnmore, and I've seen the exact same kit elsewhere for over $100.
