Fat boy Pipes

I am restoring a 79 xs 1100 special and would like to put fat boy pipes on it. I have seen the one post but would like some more information on what happens to the cross over and where to find the adapter.

Fat Boy Pipes

When I installed the fat boys I eliminated the crossover pipe by cutting the originals 1" past the collectors in front of the crossover. I then found the adapters in stock at a local Autozone, around three dollars each. Simple fix good results. Best of luck.
