    snaped the cable

    If it is not one thing, it will be another....

    well the clutch cable snapped yesterday........ dang it!!

    well does anyone have any suggestions on where to order another one from? i think i need to get a shorter one than the SF cable because i have low rise bars on it now Vs the Buck horns....

    That was one of my main reasons for wanting to do the hydro-conversion. Suck getting through traffic lights w/ no clutch.

          Any local shop can get you an aftermarket clutch cable... no need to get Yamaha... for @ $20 or less and you'll be sure it's the right one.

            I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

              what are they thinking?

              local cable quest

              ok so there is this "bike dealer" here in fayetteville and they claim to have a "parts" department, but it consists of oh, we don't carry that but we can have it by thursday, or...we can special order it for you if you would like.

              so thinking just maybe on a sprout of luck the Harley shop just might have something after market. go in, and they asked, "is it Harley?" me "No" them "oh, we dont do Metric bikes"

              Don't they realize their bikes are not made in the USA????


              anywho i am about a step away from opening up an aftermarket parts shop for "metric" bikes.

                      ordered cable today from bike shop....$18.....if i am lucky i will get it Friday.....ahhhh if not, then Tuesday

                      I just may, have to get a loner for the weekend.

                          ok so i finally fixed the cable today....went to a Tontitown Machine and Cycle Shop and the guys there tought me how to make customs cables and repair cables......pretty cool stuff.....so i modified my busted one for the "cafe" bars and put a new end on it and BAM!!! done.....

                          guess i didnt need that one i ordered after all....oh well, it is good to have a spare.
