      Colortune

My new colortune works great . I was worried that it wasnt the right one as it was listed for cars . I found at my last hasty tuning with my friends unit my settings were quite rich .
In the relative quiet and dark of my garage I had lots of time to set the pilots . Even then it only took about twice the time of changing the plugs . No ear work . In fact i wore ear plugs . My eyes see the color and I dont have to look at the tach after I have the idle at 1100rpm . I did it with the lines attached ,tank raised by a piece of wood . I wore my headlight to see into the pilots and actually see the slots in the screws . There was about 2 full turns between the point where the yellow turns to blue and when the blue turns light to white and starts to miss. I set them roughly half way between these points .
Last time there was 3 different ppl invovled in setting the pilots so I guess it wasnt optimal .

Just a word of caution to anyone new with a colortune. They melt real easy! Let the bike cool some between plugs. My colortune wanted to arc between the connection point and the colortune barrel. I spent just a l;ittle too much time trying to figure out why and how to stop it. $$$ in the toilet!
