    XS1100 H4 headlight

    Hi I am new to this site and was wondering if anybody could tell me where I can find a halogen style headlight for a XS1100E (78) I have the stock one on and when I ride at night it is very hard to see thanks for any info

      I think the 78 had a sealed beam light...all the rest of the standards had a replacable bulb style. The entire head light assy should fit from a newer standard......can anybody confirm this?

          Actually the head lamp is all that is needed. The '78 has the same housing (plastic bucket). The lamp is unique to the XS as far as I know, due to the mounting tangs on the back side of the lamp.

          I would check eBay and any local bike salvage yards.
