  • Master cly reservoir

Someone on here posted about how he cleaned up the reservoir with sandpaper and took off the white chalk so that it looked new again. Could someone post the link to this. I did the search and did not turn up anything. I need to do this to my 78E & 80SG bikes.
    Thanks Tom

Tom, that was me. I used a wire wheel in an electric drill, and removed all of the chalky material, and then used some emory cloth to sand the marks left from the wire wheel. It really improves the look of the reservior.

      Thanks John,
I just wore out both of my hands trying to sand this out with 180 grit sandpaper. I only remember the sandpaper part. CRS. How did you clean out the indent part? Did you remove the letters?
      Thanks Tom

I just used the wire wheel in the indented area, and the lettering was removed, but I didn't care. Once it was clear, I used the sandpaper to smooth it out also.
