  • Oil filter bolt part number same except for 79sf?

Was looking over the oil filter bolt part numbers. All of the XS11 models apparently use part number 2H7-13340-00-00 except for the 79sf model, which I have, and which is listed as part 90401-20052-00.

Then in 1980, the part number is listed again as 2H7-13340-00-00 again. What's up with that? Was there any change in the oil bolt or just the part number, and why?

    See this link,

I think they are saying its the same as the one used in their boat motors.......http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/ya...-20052-00.html

I have a feeling, though, that 90401-20052-00 is the bolt itself and 2H7-13340-00-00 is the whole assmebly.

All the filter cups and blocks are the same there. The first bolt number you listed will be the correct one. I have seen lots of typos in these parts list. On the '78 E model, they list the crank seals for the wrong sides. Just one example.

        Did you know

JC Whitney has a new MC catalog just as big as the one for cars and they even have that part for our bikes, air filters (2 kinds), oil filters too?
