Can anyone recommend a low-range torque wrench? I have a couple of the big monster ones but I need something with a bit more finesse. I was tightening the exhaust flanges today and really needed to seat the exhaust gaskets nicely. I have my own version of "just about tight enough, sort of.. maybe a little more.." that I use with regular wrenches and sockets but I need something a bit more precise.
And here are the clinchers. I will probably use it a few times a year, am not building the space-shuttle and really like the feeling of getting a good deal. There are dozens of them for sale on eBay but I can only guess at the quality by the amount of bidders each one seems to attract and that generally isn't a good way to buy. I'm asking here because (1)... you all know the kind of XS use that is expected ... and (2) no one has ever steered me wrong here. I don't really need very precise actual measurements, +/- 5%, just consistency from fastener to fastener.
If a straight-out, gushing product recommendation is against forum policy, or if someone actually has one for sale, just send me a personal message.
Thanks in advance,
Gareth
