    Fork stuff

Was it to much easy rider? Or maybe I never got enough of building choppers out my spyder bikes as a kid....or was it the Rupp Roadster I still wish I had back....whatever I can't help noticing that a standard lower part on my special tubes.....hmmm. Now we're talking ....stock parts, chopper looks!!! Has anybody done this? 10 million reasons not too...5 million why!!! throw on 11" shocks & man that would be more "special" than a special!! HA!

    Hey there Fusion,

I, too, have chopper envy, plus I'm quite tall, wanted a bike that would fit me better, so I did a different approach, I put 4" over length upper tubes on mine for that Pseudo-chopper rise and look. From what I've heard, the special has the axle in front of the tubes for either more stability, so putting on standard lowers with axle at end will change the ?rake/trail? allowing it to turn more easily, but might reduce the stability at high speed? Others with more technical knowledge have talked about this I believe in other posts!?!?
