I finally figured out how to fix my turn signals. Over the last couple of years they would only flash when the bike was up to speed and then not at idle. They would come on but not flash.
I have read many threads that talk about cleaning up your connections to improve current flow and fix the issue. So I cleaned mine. Still no flash. But thats not the issue. Or at least as long as you have fairly clean connections that is not it. After taking the Flasher apart, pretty easy, the root of the problem is that the small thin coopper armature that has the large contact attached to it. It loses tension and does not force the thick copper armature toward the coil.
All I had to do was bend it a bit toward the coil spring and it works great. I guess over the years it has slowly lost some of its tension. There is a small bend in it near where it is attached. I put a paper clip into the notch and then bent it a bit more towards the coil, adding more tension.
I wish I could add some pictures to this so you could see exactly what I did.
