i have been thinking the same thing, i want to put the XJ wheels i have on my XS. I think i remember reading somewhere that they do swap in and out......not 100% sure but 78.7%.....haha. i was going to do the wheels and the slotted rottors onto my 79 XS SF.

rootnp,
I know a guy here in Canton, IL who is looking to change to the swirly wheels. I will call him and have him get in touch with you. He said is going to get on this site but i have not seen him on here yet. He has a 80SG Special, that makes about 14 XS/XJ 1100s here in Canton that i know of.
Thanks Tom

Fronts all swap straight over; if going from spiral to straight, check whether the straights are tubeless; not all are!
Swapping rears can be a little more awkward; All of the XS/XJ wheels will swap if you use the spacers and torque plate that goes with 'em.... but the XS 17s and 16s won't easily swap without all the bits, so the straight to swirly/girly wheels should be the same.
The sliding-style calipers, the ally caliper brackets and the discs are all interchangeable..... Don't know about the rear calipers on the last bikes.
