  • Can't find answer to Octopus Question

If you have a special, and remove the octopus, where do you then plug the vacuum line from the left cover?

I've searched and keep ending up confused on the answer as I've read "Plug it in the #2 carb body" and "Plug it into any sync port".

Removing the Octo shouldn't change where your vacuum advance line from the left side cover plugs in. The advance line should be plugged into the #2 carb body. Plugging it into a synch port will cause it to not function correctly because the vacuum from the synch ports pulse to much.
After you remove the Octo you will have to buy a plug to put over the #2 synch port where the vacuum for the octo used to be plugged in.

It should be plugged into the #2 cab body whether you have the octy or not. It has nothing to do with the octy.
