"Or are the gearbox ratios different on the triples??".....exactly.....If you want to drag race an 1100 with the shaft, look for an xs750E with the different higer ratio middle drive

MORE INFO!...... A few years ago, I blew the middle box up on my eleven. I couldn't find one anywhere, but discovered that the XS750 middle box fitted, so that was what went on.

As far as I could figure out, the "new" box was the same rato as the wreckage of the original...... although it was hard to get it to turn over to check..... LOL!

The speedo vs Tach reading seemed to be the same as before, so I thought they must be the same; If you have any info on the ratios from stripping 'em for your conversions, let me (us!) know, Please!
