Hey guys, I just replaced my voltage reg/rec on my 80 special, I put the tank back on, made sure the fuel lines were in right spots, wont stay running, starts for a quick second, and stops. Is there a procedure I need to go through to prime it or is it flooded?

wow thats the same thing mine is doing but when I pulled the timing cover off the left side, the bolt holding the thing that times it came out and stripped the end of the bolt and hopfully not the shaft.1979 XS1100 SF (production number 572)
