      OIL???

      Is that crank case oil?
      Mid/finnal drive oil?
      Oil of olay?

You may have asked for more than you wanted.
Think some here may have a "preferred oil"

        engine oil

20w50 Castrol or equivilent, non-synthetic. Do a search on oil if you want to read everyone's opinion.

          use the right oil

          Sorry,
thought there would have been 20+ replies about "oil" long ago

          Yamaha manual, above 5C, 20/40
          15C and below, 10/30

I live in CA CA land (seldom goes below 50F here) and use 20/50, no problems so far.
Don't use oils with friction modifiers that may cause your wet clutch to slip.
