  • Cannot figure out

The idiot light for oil, stop and turn signals comes on after the bike warms up. Usually at around 4000 rpms, I have installed a oil pressure gauge and it is showing good pressure. New bulbs in the tail, and signals in the rear and also in the fairing (Vetter). Any ideas????????????

    Flakey Switch?

Have you checked it with a meter before and after the bike warms up to confirm it is or is not the switch? I doubt it's bulbs or grounds but I'm sure the guru's will chime in shortly.

What did you do with the original sender and the wire to it?

Is the tail light actually wired into the light checker?

If you left the original oil sender in place, where did you install the new gauge? If you installed it somewhere else make sure that the probe is not interferring with the oil flow, there are little passages in places where one wouldn't think they are.

Actually still had the sending unit hooked up, have already found a bare spot in the wire, fixed it and completely did away with the sending unit........................ no more light problems, Thanks for the help.
