Hello, i been out of the loop for a while due to issues beyond my control and just purchased a new battery after my Wal-Mart one finally bit the dust.I put the battery in today and started the bike up(1980 SG).#1 problem-No headlights, gauges don't work, turn signals don't work, horn doesn't work, taillight and license plate do work.Bike would not idle smoothly and when i gave it more throttle,it wanted to die.Looking at the bike from the front brake side-exhaust pipe is warm, second one is hot third one is not and exhaust pipe closest to clutch is hot. Also when i pull the plug wires if i pull the spark plug wire closest to the clutch nothing happens.Any possible answers.Sorry i forgot alot about the bike in this short time.I have new plugs and coils that worked fine last time i started it-Dec 2007.Thanks

I did not check the main fuse on the bike after looking at some forums but was wondering would the bike start without it?

You`ll have to check all of your connections, some could be corroded or depending on where bike sat, mousified.

Has the same gas been in it since December, if so you carbs could now be gummed and need cleaning.
