  • Luggage Crash bars

I got a set of what are supposed to be luggage crash guards off a xs11, and want to put them on my special. However, I am not sure where they are supposed to go.

Anyone able to help out with pics or directions?

They will only fit if they are for the special. If they came off a standard, you will need to modify them to fit. The passenger foot pegs are located in different positions on the two bikes.

Will they just need a new hole drilled? Or something more drastic?

I am at work, this is my project for tonight. Or tomorrow.

I'm not sure. It depends on how close the mounts are. IIRC, the Standard has a little more spacing, so you may be able to just drill. But remember, I HAVE been know to talk before looking, after all, I AM a GURU.

              Looking like I am drilling

they are too tall, but changing the angle and adding a new hole to the grab bar will work.

Except that then there is not enough room for my saddlebags. I will need to move the turn signals back more. I got a part that is supposed to do that, but tossed it into a box somewhere.

I need more projects, I guess.
