  • xs with 36 mm mikuni flat slides

Hey every one i was just wondering if anyone has any tuning advice for me? The carbs that came on my xs1100 are completely shot some one tried to drill out the ends of the mixture screws and completely messed up the inside of the carb. So i took the 36 mm mikuni flatslides off my KZ1000 dragbike and i was wondering if anyone else had any advice for me about tuning. My bike had aftermarket kerker 4into 1 exhaust and k&n air filters. has anyone else done this or is this even the way to go?? if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

        Was going to be helpful...
Went out to the garage and got my MC note book which had a few pages I stuck in there for RS flat slides, but they be missing
Had all the jetting info etc...
Will be taking the carbs off when I finish refurbing the exhaust I want to put on.

        In the mean time:
        Check here http://www.mikuni.com/pdf/rs_app_parts_lists.pdf

        and at sudco for info.

Should you find any better sources/info let me know.

          They look promising MRO.
Are there any bikes stock with them?
Still, there's an awful lot of crossed out
parts in the manual. Would be nice though. Some ideas on where to look for some, and the main thing carb spacing.

          Thanks
          Like I need another project!!

Thanks MRO you have been helpful. If you end up finding your notebook let me know. All i basically have to do is reconfigure jetting and things, i have the spacing but the drag bike that i took my carbs from is almost 1300 cc and differant head set up obviously. so i am just seeing if any one has the jetting info so i dont have to do the trial and error thing.

RS flat slides were never stock and are not legal on the street here in CA CA land, not sure if illegal in other states.
XS there on has been "modded", 1203 cc, head/crank work etc.

              Can search here http://www.sudco.com/indexpage01.html
              Has the largest mukuni selection.
