      In my opinion, yes. Dielectric grease is an insulator and it lengthens the path that any potential short circuit at a connection must take.

      You dont need to gook it on though....a little dab will do ya.

        From what I know the only electrical components that dielectric grease will hurt are those that don't actually make contact with each other. For example you shouldn't put it on the "tips" of your spark plugs or in the distributor cap on your car. The reason is that dielectric grease is an insulator so if the two parts don't touch (and force out the grease) then the current won't flow.

          THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. TOOK ME A YEAR TO GET IT RUNNING AND WITH ALL YOUR HELP IN THIS SIGHT IT WILL RUN FOR YEARS. THANKS AGAIN
