While I don't know ALL the details. Horn , lights Turn signals. Reflectors. Exhaust intact. Condition of Tyres.
Brakes , This is the only part he might take apart to examine.
May not be familiar with Tapered Pads.
Good luck. and Welcome to the Forum

Hey Steve,
I just got mine thorugh a safety yesterday in Kingston.
Essentially - all lights, horn, tires, brakes. He checked that my seat was attached (aftermarket) and frame (straight and no cracks). He generally had a look-around and checked some hoses and clamps and stuff which was nice. The cool thing was that he rode the bike in the Fall for a short trip and was able to tell me some things about it.
I was born in the big smoke and moved to Kingston 10 years ago - maybe we should get some of the near-bys together for a meet.
Good luck with the safety,
Steve as well1980 Special
