  • Front engine mount bushings

I just took my front wheel and forks off to change the tire and
fork seals and noticed these bushings are cracked and deteriorating.I couldn't find them on bike bandit.Has anyone replaced these? And if so can you tell me where to get them?
Man,In the last month I rebuilt the carbs ,replaced fuel lines, replaced the wheel bearings, took apart the speedo and cleaned and lubed it so it works, now tires, fork seals.I currently have my bike in several pieces on the garage floor.
I must be crazy.I could have bought a pretty new bike and been ready to go.But noooooooo I had to fall in love with the XS!It is kind of funny though and I'll know exactly what I have in the end.So its definitely worth it.LOL
I guess this goes to show ,a bike that don't get ridden will rot in storage. With 850 original miles on it, once I replace all the seals I can get to and clean everything good.It will be like riding a new one at a fraction of the cost.

That sort of stuff tends to appear on e-Bay in hardware lots after someone has parted out a bike. Check with Andrus he may have what you need.

You can still buy the parts from Yamaha. I use this site. Yamaha Parts I searched for your bike and the image is there but no parts breakdown. I'm almost positive the front wheel and components are identical on the 81SH and they do list all those parts as available.

I'm sorry,Are you talking about the fork seals or the engine mount bushings?Because its the bushings that hold the front of the frame to the engine I need.
I went to that site and it looks like they might call that a "stay"
          but it is discontinued

I might be wrong, but check with XSchop. I think he machined some aluminum ones for himself.
