Just got done talking to my brother-in-law. We had the carbs (and inside the tank) cleaned and tuned along with some other small stuff at the local Yamaha dealership. They were more than happy to do the work on this ol' bike. My bro could have done it, but he didn't want to leave the bike in pieces in his driveway (no garage).

Anyway, he took it out and wanted to see what kind of a difference it had made and reported back that he didn't know if I knew or not, but the front wheel of my bike will definitely leave the ground if given proper motivation. LOL. He said he wasn't even trying, he just kicked it in to second from first and cranked the throttle about half way to get her going and she was literally up and away!

Man am I jealous and anxious to get home again!
