  • MAC 4 to 2 Pics?

Hi all! I Just got my MAC 4 to 2 exhaust (MAC Part Number: 403-0821) for my 82 XJ11! It looks like the kit came with no parts to clamp the headers and mufflers together. The muffler slides nicely over the header pipe and has four grooves at the end that look like they are supposed to be squeezed down by a circular clamp. As the kit came with no instructions from BikeBandit.com I was hoping someone might have pics of how that muffler-header joint is put together via clamps or some kind of adhesive or something. Lets see some close ups of those nice shiny joints! Thanks.

    Nathan,

The MAC 4-into-2 comes with the clamps, also with the little arm for stopping the center stand. There should be a bag of hardware in the box. If not, contact Bikebandit and complain.

Here's what the clamp looks like. This is a 4-1 but the clamp(s) are probably similar. HTH.

Thanks bikerphil! Okay I must admit I am slightly mechanically challenged. I got those clamps that phil has a picture of but i thought they went around the muffler to help bolt the muffler to bike. They are obviously too small to go around the muffler. duuuh. A picture is worth a thousand words! Problem solved. Thanks all.
Conky1980 send me a PM with your email and I will email befores and afters pics if I cant post them on this message board. Hopefully I will get to do it soon. I am still waiting on exhaust gaskets. And now I have to do a quick tune up on my 2000 ford ranger that has a misfire on #2. Cross your fingers!
