I've got the Jardine spaghetti pipes w/o the crossover installed. I notice that the amount coming out of the right side (cylinders 1&4) is significantly more than the left side (cylinders 2&3). The bike seems to run good, but that difference in exhaust output concerns me. Ideas on how to isolate the problem??

Can be a PIATA to find.
Could be just one problem or a combination.
Fouled muffler
Weak spark
Valves
Carb adjustment
Checking the muffs would require taking em off, plugging the cross over and blowing air thru em.
Weak spark can be due to corrossion, bad wires, plug, coils etc.
Valve outa adjustment or burnt.
Carbs should come off once a year even if no problems just to check float height etc. (I have no idea how they change on there own on a good runnning bike )
mro
BTW, I hold a rag by the exhaust to see how it is blown to compare one side from the other. Seldom see em exactly the same even tho bikes running very well. Not enough difference for me to try to "fix"

Could also be weak compression. Also check closely for leaks at the head where the pipes meat the head.
