new bearings have the seals as part of them, so the seals are NOT needed. I think I was able to get bearings from a supply house, but it's been about four years! The ONLY bearing that needs to be from Yamaha is the wide rear wheel bearing. I found it was cheaper to get the one bearing from Yamaha than try and replace it with two and a spacer!
Front tire is 110/90 19, IIRC. I think stock is a 100/90 19, but the 110 fits well on a standard.

        Hi Dell,
another handy source for front wheel bearings is MikesXS. Note that Mike only stocks parts for the XS650 and if you ask for XS11 stuff he'll say he don't have any.
However, the XS650 & XS11 front wheels are identical so order the front wheel bearings "for an XS650"

          Am I missing something?

I keep noticing that MikesXS.com is often listed a source for parts. The post currently, immediately after this one " whats this world coming to?...no parts" for example. However, in almost every case it is cautioned not to tell them it is for an XS1100 or they will not be happy with the sale. Am I missing something? I would think that a business would be happy to expand their market, especially for free via word of mouth. I am wondering why the members of this site would continue to support a business that doesn't consider their business worthy of it's respect? I have dealt with several sources for parts for example: my local dealer (Don & Roy's Motorsports in Brookfield, WI and bikebandit.com for new parts and Andreas Weiss for used) all of whom seemed happy to supply parts for a XS1100. As the economy tightens and small businesses struggle I personally do not feel that those that do not appriciate my money should receive any of it. Just my $.02!

            Dave,
There is a BIG 650 market out there. That is what mike knows, and he stays with it. WE know the parts will fit, but he cannot say they will without causing a BUNCH of grief for himself. Most of us know this, and just "play the game" top get the parts that will work at a good price.
