Starter Brushes

How long are new brushes? my old brushes are just 1/32 from line? How far from line to end of new brush? My starter is dragging a little when hot, I cleaned the armature and it sounds better but im just curious about ordering some new brushes 40$ for pair?

The brushes are quite a bit longer brand new. I do not have a precise measurement but I think it was at least 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. I suggest you call Zannotti motorcycles to get the parts. I paid $65 for new starter (2) and alternator brushes (2). It was well worth it.
