  • oil pressure guage needed

Well, I have committed the sin of not checking oil and now dealing with the guilt of running poor old bessy quite hard with little oil. Oh, the shame....

Does anyone have advice or photos for fitting of oil pressure guage. Damn oil light is clearly useless.

    Thanks.

    Hey Scotto,

Don't beat yourself up so much! First, are you sure the oil light works?? Secondly, have you checked out the oil pressure sending unit?

Next, look at this recent thread regarding a few ways to add a pressure gauge!

As long as your oil light IS working, and didn't come on, then even though you may have been low on oil, it was apparently still getting enough oil and pressure to keep things properly lubed and cooled!

Remember, the oil light is just a pressure sensor, not a volume/oil level sensor like the XJ's, so you just have to check your level in the window from time to time!
