I have a XS 1100 SH. Could someone please tell me if the ignition boxs are interchangeable between years? By the way my bike is an 81 Thanks for your help

Well I hope your handle isn't the truth?

Because if it is, then you own the wrong bike!

First, follow THIS LINK TO AN INFORMATIVE THREAD ABOUT THE IGGY MODULES scrolling down to near the bottom of the page shown, it's the 2nd page of the thread, and then read on!

Regrettably the 81's are UNIQUE to that year, and so without doing some mods to your timing cover/advance parts, you can't use another year's module!

The XS11 is a very reliable machine ONCE you get it into reliable working condition, but if it's been neglected for many years, it WILL take some "fixin' " to get it right, but it will be worth it!
