No, I've never locked the front tire. But then again, I don't have any SS brake lines, just the stock ones that probably swell a bit. As for traction, I just got back from Western NC, and no problem whatsoever on the twisties. I'm sure there are better tires, but these suit me just fine and are very affordable.

Oh, and no I haven't measured new tire tread depth.

Thanks for the info. I wish I would have tried them. I still may. I like the looks and they have RWL's. The cost per mile should even be better than the Elite II's.
