  • 17 inch Tubeless

    Hi

I got hold of a Midnight Special LG front wheel ,,straight spoke
    and tubeless

I am going to put it on my UK E Standard

What i'd like to know is ,,which USA model, has a 17 in rear, straight spoke wheel that is Tubeless

I need to clear this up to narrow my search and it's gonna cost a packet to import one

    Gareth

Just want to know exactly which model to be looking for

I just searched Bike Bandit Fiche's

    Seems it's 1980 G and 81 H are Tubeless

    Sorry

Wish i'd done that ages ago

It is easy to tell. Rims without rim locks or rim lock holes are tubeless. They will also say "tubeless" on one of the "spokes".

        Tubeless

I have a '78E and it has tube type rim on the rear that is 17" and I'm also looking for a tubeless rim. I bought a '79 Special parts bike and used the front rim from it.

I just found one in the uk 40 miles from where i live at approx $40.00 of your money ,,Guy said it had BOTH bearings replaced in last couple of years (Deep bearing was nearly $100.00 !!)

Anyway snapped it up coz i doubt i will ever find another !!

I had an SF and gave the front wheel away by mistake grrrr!!

Got a Midnight LG one for the front now (very rare here too !!)

            Gareth

Like someone said there's a pile of these rims somewhere

I am very happy today !!

I was running with the 16 in SF rear for a while in my E

My '80G has a 17" tubeless rim on it. But it also has air forks, so I really don't know what's original on it or not.
