If you will search on 'posting a pic', you will find more than a few threads which explain it .... I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a power user of all of the features on this site (if I were, I coulda' put a link in here lol ).... someone else would better able to explain it if the explanations you find in the search aren't enough.
79F Stone stocker and former daily driver, sold May '10 now converting for N.O. to cafe style 79SF eventually dismantled for parts 79F Bought almost new in 80, sold for a house 79F The Ernie bike sold to a Navy dude summer 08 79SF Squared-off Special, Vetter/Bates tour pkg., Mikes XS coils, G rear fender and tail light. That there scooter is an 80G which really does look an awful lot like a 79F and 79SF morphed together. Marketing? Who knows. Carbs are VM33 smooth bores (round slides) , matched with a Supertrapp 4/1 and K&N insert to a factory airbox. Very strong runner.
Now about the forks ... they were 'cleared' right over the aluminum, to protect it some time ago and have since yellowed .... looks gold but it ain't ... I've been so busy fixing the broken stuff on my other ones (you can kinda' see 'em in the background of the G pic) that I just haven't gotten around to strippin' off the old paint. Lazy, huh?

I was gonna comment earlier about the faded varnish on the fork tubes...
But then thought...
Wiz is a nice guy...
Suppose he had them gold-plated and I made fun of them... then he would cry.
Am I losin' my touch, or what?
