  • saddle bags installing???

i just got these saddle bags from ebay Item number: 290213806283 GA MOTORCYCLE V ROAD STAR C50 C90 M109R Hard Saddle Bag and the bracket kit. i was looking at my bike (79 XS1100 special) and i am going to have to relocate my rear turn signals. has anyone done this? and how? i was thinking of moving them to the bracket for the tail light, just drill some mount holes in the sides and mount them there. if anyone has done this of has any suggestions or even pictures, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks for any help anyone gives me.

I've seen one guy here on the forum make a set of "L" brackets and mount em to the license plate with holes for the turns. Saw another who mounted em thru the side of bags. The standards use a tube that mounts to the license plate so the turns can mount there too.

Moving them to the tail light bracket works just fine. The whole process took me less than half an hour.

If there are more than three bolts holding it on there, it is most likely a very important part!

Looks really sharp, but you should wind up that hose so it doesn't trip someone up

no the luggage rack i guess was an accesory, i found it on ebay for $75. the origonal back pad (just the pad) flew off while riding one day so made a new one. the rack is awsome though.
