    Fellow XSives -

In response to a question about the 5K7 frame number, I got a couple of replies. Mick ID'd it as an XS 1.1. Maans "Smitty" Smit gave the following reply on the allxs11s discussion group (YahooGroups). Some of this information isn't contained on the Specifications page. Good opportunity for an update!

    Queries:

    2H7 - XS1100F - 1979 - Canada and others (from engine no: 2H7-110101) ? Question: There is already a 2H8 number for 79 F models in Canada. Is this a different model?

    2H9-130101 - 1980 G model, Europe - (Fiche no: 203X0 - 351 F1) (Diamond Silver, New Ruby Red)

    2H9-140101 - 1982 (no indication of model, just XS1100), Europe - Fiche no: 223X0 - 351 F1) (New Yamaha Black)

(The fact that the last two fiches have numbers with 3X0 in them could mean that these are in fact the 1980 3X0 models)

Reference is also made to an XS1100 CH model sold in Europe and the Oceania countries.

    Bill,

I don't think the specifications section has been transferred to the forum, so I can't edit. Maybe we should bring it over? otherwise JP will have to edit for us. Thanks for the great info!

The problem for me was that I clicked the "specifications" link on the old menu which links to the old specifications page. That page doesn't have the info Smitty provided. It didn't occur to me to look under Miscellaneous for spec info. Oh well... live and learn!
