  • JC Whitney Seat Covers

    Hi Everybody:
Anybody have any experience with JC Whits replacement seat covers?
Have a tear in the one on the 78E, not to mention, the PO recovered it with an unribbed cover. Trying to get it back to more like stock. Looks like it's a Saddleman one I think. The part num is ZX061540Y.
Got the BigDog running good now, so it's time to do the cosmetics and luxury stuff.

    Thanks
    John

Tried one once- was so tight it was impossible to put on- in fact it ripped at the seams in the attempt. Found an outfit in Texas that provided a cover with a perfect fit.

Interesting. wonder if they are sending the right part, like maybe from a 750/850? Have a contact for the texas outfit?
        Thanks much

I've used a few on ATV's and my sons' bikes with no problems, it's best if you heat them in the dryer before installing them though.

Click on this link to a thread for that Texas outfit. I am VERY pleased with their product. There's a link to their website there.

I had one on my 80G and fit good and no problem to put on. Took it off because it was a little thicker than standard and legs were to short to flat foot on the ground. Just make sure you let it lay in a nice warm sun so the vynil will be soft and easy to stretch. It came with plenty of extra to trim off after putting it on the pan.
