My 1978 XS please tell me what you think

this is my toy, i bought it in October 2007 from someone i work with. He did the paint and most of the work on the bike. i paid $800 for it. It had not been ridden for about 3 years when i bought it all i had to do was clean the fuel tank and put a battery in it. im still learning how to work on it instead of a car.

please let me know what you think and give me ideas on how to make it better

Regrettably PHotodump changed the way they allowed photo links, and quit allowing DIRECT linking of photos stored on their site!

Looks awesome....but I'm partial to Green!

I don't know what you mean by make it better! But you might want to look at Drilling your brake rotors, and possibly upgrading to Stainless Steel Braided brake lines for a much better feel and performance. Do you have a Cycle Sound system in the DASH? How about GPS! If you want to add these nifty electrical devices, you may need to upgrade your charging abilities, either thru Geezer's Reg/Rect, or doing a conversion to mostly LED's for turn/brake/tail lights! Just some ideas!

The the main thing to make is better is to RIDE IT!!!

Hmm, you might think about carrying the green colour a bit farther, say the lower half of the engine and the middle drive. Then paint the top of the cylinders and the carbs black. Then finish it off with green lower legs on the front end. Try photoshopping it to get an idea.

Might look sweet!

NICE BIKE I LOVE THE GREEN COLOUR .YOU GUY;S IN AMERICA HAVE IT GREAT. THERE ARE SO MANY XS1100'S AROUND. AND SO CHEAP.. THEY ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND IN AUSTRALIA.
