I did my research. The printer might be out of ink now. I am officially armed and dangerous. Will let you guys know how things turn out. This weekend is busy for me. So I plan on doing the work slowly. I should have some answers in 1-2 weeks. I ussually break things when i'm in a hurry. My wife can vouch for that. Plus I have to order things in.

        caution...

I applaud your decision to do the carbs yourself. That was my first down & dirty job on a bike that I tackled. It felt great knowing I did it. And BTW, carb cleaner takes the finish off of coffee tables, so watch out -'specially since you're married.

Now on to my words of warning... When you've got them apart, you'll want to spray carb cleaner through all the little holes and passageways to make sure they're not blocked. When you do this, WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!! One port (in the float bowl I believe) makes a nice U-turn and cleaner will spray you in the face if you're looking intently at it, trying to see where it goes. ...Or point it away from your head. That'd work too.

There's a great diagram somewhere on the site that'll show you where everything in there goes. I can't find it, but watch for it in your searches. Maybe someone knows the one I'm talking about and can provide a link to it. This link might help later on.

Ordered the kits. Do have a manual.

I will wait before buying anything else. I will follow all of your recommendations. Will take the carbs out, and start the cleaning tonight. Thanks again for the help. I need all of it.
